"Hey look out for this one!!" The man said as he jumped to the side. There were three men total. Nothing that he couldnt really handle, but he didnt want to hurt them. If he did, then he would be in even more trouble. Because then they would send even more guys after him and he wouldnt be able to change into wolf form for the remainder of the vacation. And seeing as he didnt have a choice on full moons, that could be a problem. So he only gave playful nips and bites and snarled at them, no threat or heart behind it though. Not that they knew that....
Jayden had been out walking earlier in the park just for fun. Get away from his sister and sleeping mother. Seeing as it was daytime and she couldnt be out in the light. Lilly wanted to go check out the shops around town anyway. At least, thats what she had told him she was doing. They had parted ways after the elevator came to the lobby of their hotel they were staying in. He had went towards the park and she had headed towards Times Square. As he had walked, he appreciated the fact that he wasnt a vampire. That he could still feel the warmth of the sun on his back and face. Today was a beautiful summer day, the heat almost so scalding that it was radiating in shimmering waves from the roads and sidewalks.
On the way to Central Park, he had spotted a group of kids that were playing in a fountain to get wet and cool off from the heat of the day. Grinning, he hid behind a building and had changed into his wolf form, leaving his clothes hidden behind a dumpster so no one would take them. His wolf form was beautiful. He was bigger then a normal wolf, almost twice the size of one. His fur was a dark chocolate brown like his hair and his eyes stayed that pale ice blue that was unique to him in human form. His eyes were always at striking contrast with the rest of him. Running out, he joined the kids in the fountain and was delighted when they started to play with him and splash water on him. But the fun didnt last long as the childrens mothers found them and swept them away to go dry them off. Scolding them for getting wet.
Shaking the water from his fur his trip to the park didnt take as long as he would have thought. The trails were covered with shade from the large trees and he wanted to go curl up under one and take a nap or just watch people mingle but his ears perked up when he noticed the pound men. They had spotted him as well, and without a collar. So the chase had begun and that brought us back to square one. One of the pound men lunged towards him with the pole that had the loop of wire that would go around his neck. Jay couldnt really run anywhere, they had backed him up against a tree and was blocking his escape root. He bit at the air around another one of them and when his attention was drawn someplace else, the third man who had been utterly quiet came up and looped the wire around his neck.
He flailed, growing and snarling, to try and get free. But the others just followed suit and before long, all three loops were around his neck. They half dragged and half pulled him to the van where they kept the dogs and shoved him into a crate before closing the door and surrounding him with darkness. He gave a small whimper in the dark and turned and turned in his crate. It wasnt big enough for him. The bars dug into his fur painfully and he could feel the starts of cuts through his fur. No matter what way he turned though, he knew there was no escape. He was going to be in so much trouble. So, with a small huff, he laid down and placed his head on his paws. This position was more comfortable, but not by much.
The ride was bumpy and he didnt know if they would stop for other dogs or not. He could smell that there were three others in here with him. None of them were werewolves though. So he was alone in that. The soft whimpers were coming from the others and he could sense they were afraid of him. His wolf relished the thought and felt smug to him. He wanted to roll his eyes. Stupid shows of dominance he had been able to avoid since he belonged to no pack. His sister and mother were pack enough for him. Even though his mother was a vampire. When they reached the pound, the van stopped and the first man who had noticed him opened the door, letting light flood in and he lifted his head. "Now dont give me any troubles you." He muttered to him and then grabbed the pole once more, looping his neck through it through the bars.
But Jayden knew better. He wasnt going to fight. If they found him violent, they would put him to sleep. And that would not be a good thing. So he just followed the mans lead, almost smirking at the startled expression that was placed on the mans face. He was put in a cage that was big enough for just him alone, behind a glass wall where people could look at him if he wanted. Barks had filled the place and some of the dogs near him backed away from their cages. He didnt snarl or growl at the ones that challenged him. He just went to the corner that was darkest, since it was pretty warm in there, and laid down, head on his paws, blue eyes watching the curious humans who looked in at him. Mother is so going to kill me.....

Loneliness, it was problem that most people wouldn't have pegged for Emiko to have, but she did. She was constantly plagued by it. Her apartment was just one big empty space, since it was a loft in SOHO, and that emptiness had been ragging on her recently. She didn't know what to do to make it better, she could start bringing home streams of men, but she really didn't want to give her father a heart attack that way. It would be far better for Emi to ease her pain some other way. Thus the idea had popped into her head to get a pet. But what kind of pet did she want?
A fish would do absolutely nothing for her, all they did was swim in circles all day and while they were rather pretty they wouldn't make her less lonely. She would never consider a reptile, amphibian, or arachnid, in fact she shuddered at the very thought, those were not pets those were invaders.
Then there was always the option of horses, she had enough money to buy one and house it at a stable just outside town. She'd always loved horses after all, but it wouldn't help her loneliness if she had to drive out of the city every time she wanted to see the animal, so horses were out. That left ferrets, guinea pigs, or some other form of rat-like creature. Those wouldn't fly either so in the end it came down to a cat or a dog.
As the daughter of two werewolves, Emiko was of course more naturally inclined to dogs. Not to mention the fact that the first few years of her life had been spent loving little Henri until he'd grown too old and had to be put down. So dog was the ultimate decision. Though that had of course led to other decisions.
Should she go to a breeder and get a full-blood puppy of some beautiful breed? Or should she go and get a pound puppy, a real mutt in the purest sense of the word? The breeder would probably yield the results that she wanted more, she could get whatever kind of dog she wanted directly. However, getting a pound puppy would be saving a dog from death and sorrow, just like the puppy would be doing for her.
So that was why Emiko found herself in one of the many New York Pounds, strolling the hallways and looking for a puppy to love forever. However, her eyes were drawn not by a cute puppy but by a beautiful and incredibly large dog...no wolf.
Emi rushed forward and pressed her nose against the glass of his cage in awe. It was a wolf, and not just a wolf, a werewolf. Emiko doubled over laughing at the thought, this wolf had managed to get caught by the New York dogcatchers? They must be better at their job than everyone thought.
She waved over one of the workers and pointed at the dog who was crouched in the back corner of the cage.
"I'd like to adopt this dog please." The man looked at her like she was crazy and tried to talk her out of it, claiming that the dog was too big for a small girl like her. Emiko pulled out a wad of bills and waved it in his face. "I didn't ask for your opinion sir, I asked for the dog."
The man nodded quickly and rushed off to get the dog for her. Emiko leaned against the glass, choosing not to watch the dogs reaction. She hoped the werewolf wouldn't fight too hard, she was doing her best to save the poor creature after all. It was lucky she was the one who had come, otherwise they might have been put down, or adopted by some crazy person.
When they brought the wolf to her Emiko took the leash firmly in hand and then leaned down to look the creature in the eyes. "Hello gorgeous. You're coming home with me." She ran her fingers gently through the thick beautiful fur and gasped when she felt the cuts. "And we'll treat these cuts for you and make them all better." She added while glaring up at the ashamed and blushing pound worker.
Emi led the wolf out to her car and shook her head in anger. "Disgusting, how can they treat creatures this way?" She drove the whole way home with her bands music blaring in the background and a determined and very miffed expression on her pretty features.

The stir of him being brought in was dying down. The other dogs realizing he wasnt going to challenge them and that he probably wasnt a very big threat at all. Even though he could rip any of those dogs in half, he hated being violent. Not unless his temper was flared up, he was a very gentle and sweet person. That didnt change in wolf form. Not until he lost control of himself on full moons. And his mother had raised him to be better then a common male fighter. He was a gentlemen. And he had been around France in the old days. He knew what chivalry was. It hadnt died. It was just very hard to find now a days. But just because he was surrounded by animals, didnt mean he had to act like one.
His pale blue eyes were closed lightly, his ears swiveling back and forth to catch all the noises and sounds wafting through the cage bars and from the glass windows. Lots of the humans that looked at him were surprised by how large he was. And that they would even have a dog this large in here in the first place. There were whispers of him being a wolf and when they asked the workers what type of dog he was they had no reply. The only thing they guaranteed was that he wasnt a wolf. No wolf was that large. They claimed and said he was probably a mix between two very large breeds of dogs. If he had been human, he would have rolled his eyes and laughed. People werent stupid. They knew a wolf when they saw one. But the pound couldnt hold wolves. So he was grateful that they sprouted the lie.
His eyes opened though as he felt like someone was staring at him. Really staring at him. Not just a simple glance and walked away to look at the cute puppies that were a little further down. And he was right. When he opened his eyes he spotted a girl there looking in at him. Her face was right next to the glass and she was staring at him in a way that made it seem like she knew his secret. That she knew he wasnt a wolf or dog. She was very pretty with delicate features and blonde hair paler then what he had seen before. As she started to crack up laughing, his ear perked up and he tilted his head. A very doggy fashion of raising an eyebrow since he couldnt accomplish that in this current form. What in the world is she laughing at? He thought to himself curiously and then watched her wave over a worker.
He thought that she would ask the common question of the day, what type of dog was he, but instead, she said she wanted to adopt him. This made him lift his head up from his paws and look at her curiously. His eyes would be shining with a very human like gleam of curiosity but most humans dismissed that. So he wasnt too worried. He watched her hand over a wad of bills to the man and he scampered away to come around back and over to his cage. Standing up quietly he watched her face, his eyes never leaving hers. Sending a silent thank you for saving him even though she would never understand that. She thought he was a dog. A large dog, but a dog none the less.
The leash was placed around his neck and he didnt struggle as the man pulled him out to her and then handed over the leash. At her response of going home with her he tilted his head and gave his tail a small wag. When her hand brushed over the cuts he had in his fur he didnt wince and didnt show that they stung a bit. He had been hurt worse before and he wasnt going to show these little cuts had a nasty bite. Glancing back at the man once more, who was shaking his head in disapproval, he gave a doggy grin and followed her out to her car. He hopped into the back seat where it would be more room for him and then placed his head down on the little arm rest that was between the two seats up front, his body spread out on the back seat. He hoped she didnt mind dog fur on her seats.
He couldnt agree more about the pound comment but he closed his eyes again, giving a small huff of contentment and just listened to the music blaring through the speakers. Hurt his ears a bit, but he couldnt complain. It was good. Thats the least he could ask for. And as she drove, he kept his eyes closed and just enjoyed the ride. Tonight when she fell asleep, he would have to think of a way to get out of her house so he himself could go home. His mother would worry of course, but a little explaining would clear things up. He had a feeling his sister was going to laugh at him.

Emi's amazingly cute little beetle made good time to her apartment. The top was up since it looked like rain but after she'd calmed down over his treatment at the pound she had rolled down the window and informed him with a mischievous smile that he could hang his head out the window if he wished. The building reared up in front of her and she smiled at it, amazed by how cute it looked. The car's engine died and she dumped the keys unceremoniously into her purse. She opened the door and waited, not even bothering to take the leash into her hands, for the werewolf to jump out of the car. She walked to the front door of the building, pulling out her house keys from the depths of her purse, if he wanted to follow her that was fine she would patch up his hurts and give him somewhere to stay for the night. If he wanted to run, well, that was his choice and she wouldn't chase him. The door was easily opened and she held it open long enough to allow him to slid through before she headed up the stairs to the seventh floor where her apartment was. This door was opened just as easily and just as quick. She stepped inside, sliding her flip flops off her feet to sit in the carefully organized rows that were directly next to her door. She liked to have all her shoes right there, didn't track in mud that way and also didn't have to look around everywhere for her shoes. The wolf slipped in behind her and Emi closed the door, flipping the lock back into place. She set her purse down on the counter next to the door and then bent down to take the leash and collar off the wolf's neck. "Alright, let's give you the ten cent tour. These are my shoes, keep them out of your mouth and do not mess up the order! Yes I'm quirky, shh, you'll get used to it." She patted the wolf's head gently and stood up. "This is the living area, try not to shed too much on my white furniture. Your fur is beautiful but doesn't really go with my color scheme." She walked over to the kitchen, which was around a small corner to separate it somewhat from the living room. "Kitchen slash dining room. And if you'd follow me."Her bare feet passed over the floor boards fairly silently, she was graceful in a way that her mother never had been, it must have come from her father. The upstairs was her favorite part of the whole loft, it was her bedroom. "This is my bedroom and it is off limits to furry things from this point forward." She smiled and looked at her big fluffy bed, a nap would be amazing right now, but first things first. Emi guided Jayden back down the stairs and into her bathroom, she retrieved some hydrogen peroxide and cotton balls before sitting down on the toilet and beckoning him forward so she could clean his cuts. Once that was finished she stood up and stretched, it had been a long night last night, what with her gigs and her agonizing over what type of pet she wanted. Her bed was calling her and she looked down at the wolf. "Alright, you have free reign of the areas you have not been previously banned from. I'm going to take a nap." She got a bowl and filled it with water in the kitchen first, just to keep up appearances and then headed back upstairs to fall into her bed. She was snoring softly in less than a minute. Emiko is wearing this and would just like to say setting up for him to leave her lol, I guess after this we can skip ahead a day or two or something and her putting up the flyers.

The car was small and he could tell that it was used for just her. And that she wasnt shuffling people back and forth or anything of the sort. It was a car for a free and independent woman. If she did have people living with her he would have to get his nose checked. She had faint smells of other people on her, girls mostly, but none of the scents stuck out as an intimate person that lived with her on a 24/7 basis. So he had a good guess why she had been there at the pound. She had more then likely been trying to get a companion. A pet of sorts. Someone to lessen the amounts of lonesome nights by herself. It made him feel bad that she had picked him and he would be running off as soon as he could. But his own family would worry and he couldnt stay here all the rest of his life. And what would he do on full moons?
Jay opened his eyes when he felt the car slow down and he looked up to see the little building she was pulling up to. This must be where her apartment was. Lifting his head, he studied it briefly, trying to figure out a way that would let him get out without much fuss when the time came for him to run off. Another shot of guilt went through him and he looked over at the girl briefly before returning his gaze back to the building. No. He couldnt stay. He would get tired of being a wolf anyway. His human self would start to slip away and his wolf would have control. And his wolf wasnt near as mannered as he was. Something he never approved of. But there wasnt anything he could do. The wolf was as much a part of him as he was a part of it.
His attention was brought back to the girl again though, as she opened the door and didnt grab his leash and just waited for him to hop out. It was like she trusted him in a way that no human normally trusted a new dog. She was odd but yet interesting at the same time. If this had been a different circumstance, he would have taken the time to get to know her. Maybe after he escaped he would casually bump into her on the street. That was reasonable. Jumping out of the car, he followed her to the door, noticing she wasnt watching him closely. He could run off and she wasnt fast enough to catch him. But what if she chased him and she got hurt? No...Better to leave when she was asleep and wouldnt realize he was gone until she woke up. So when she held the door open enough for him to slip in, he followed her to her apartment, waiting patiently as she dug for her keys.
Once inside, he took a small sniff, proving his theories right that she didnt live with anyone else. It was just her. She had a clean and unique scent. He couldnt quit place what she smelt like. But it was wonderful. Sitting down on his haunches he watched her slip her shoes off and place them in the row with the other shoes. She seemed to have a specific order and way for them. And this was confirmed when she told him to keep them out of his mouth as she took his collar off. He could almost laugh at that. Expect me to drink out of the toilet as well? He wondered to himself and got up and started to follow her around as she gave him the tour of the home. The white furniture looked comfy, but he had to agree that it wouldnt work so well with his dark brown fur.
The place itself wasnt very big but it fit her. He could see how she would live in it. Someones living space normally matched how a person was. When she told him the bedroom was off limits he almost quirked a brow, but just tilted his head instead. Play the dumb dog route. But he would respect her wishes anyway. She had saved him. It was the least he could do. But he had to laugh a bit. Always talk to dogs sweetheart? She had been talking to him almost as if she knew he was a human being and not a wolf deep down. But that wasnt possible. She must just be lonely enough to want to talk to even a dog for comfort. He didnt mind. He talked to dogs as well, but unlike her, he could understand them and they could understand him.
He followed her back down the stairs, like a normal dog would their master, and stayed by her side as she took him into the bathroom. He already knew what she was planning, and he was grateful she would help with the cuts even though they wouldnt take all that long to heal. By tonight, they would be gone. The peroxide stung and he closed his eyes softly, laying his head on her knee and just let her gentle hands mend him up. It was over far too quickly and before he knew it, she was stretching and telling him he had full reign of the place since she was going to take a nap. His ears perked up in excitement at the opportunity he was given and she didnt even realize it. He followed her out of the bathroom and just laid down on the carpet in the living room and watched her go upstairs.
Jayden waited and listened until he could hear gentle snores and breathes coming from her room. She was asleep and hopefully he wouldnt do anything loud enough to wake her. Padding over to her door, he leaned up and flipped the lock with his paws and teeth, twisting the knob with the pads of his feet to get the door open. Once it was he glanced back at her room briefly and then left through the front door, closing it as much as he could with his paws. Getting out of the building hadnt been as hard as he thought. There had only been one incident where an elderly couple looked at him funny as he darted out the door. The sidewalk under his paws was enough motivation to book it out of there and back towards the park and the alley where he had left his clothes.

Two days later, Emiko found herself wondering who the werewolf was that she had saved from the pound. She was still lonely and hadn't wanted to go back to the pound for another puppy. What she really wanted was to solve the great pound wolf mystery.
Feeling especially clever and witty, Emiko came up with a glorious plan. She went onto her laptop and googled up some pictures of wolves. She found one that almost looked a little like the one she'd "adopted", she printed it out and placed it on top of a flyer. Along the top of the picture she placed the words "missing 'dog'" and underneath it she gave a brief description and began making up senseless drivel about how worried she was about the dog and how she would give a reward to anyone with any information about that dog.
She placed her cell phone number at the bottom and leaned back to study her handiwork. At the very least, whoever the werewolf was should have the courtesy to call her and make up some dumb story about what had happened to her precious puppy. At the most, maybe they would come to her and bring her a new one.
Emiko went to the FedEx store the next day to make about 300 copies of it to put up around the main thoroughfares of New York. Then she took her carefully crafted guilt trips and began to fasten them to telephone poles. She also handed them out to people, doing a bang up acting job at appearing to be incredibly distraught over her missing job.
People kept stopping to ask if she was okay, if there was anything they could do, a few of them even promised her that they would check out the pounds for her. Emi smiled deviously and went back to attaching the flyers to poles and bulletin boards.
She almost felt a little bad, what happened if the werewolf really was feeling guilty about leaving her in the middle of her peaceful nap? Seeing her handiwork all over the city might just make them feel even worse about things.
Emi sighed heavily and took a seat on a park bench in the middle of central park. She'd come here specifically because, if she were a werewolf, this was where she'd come while in a big city. To unwind and relax, nature was always the best bet.

Today was just as beautiful as it had been the day before and the day before that. But unlike the day he had ended up in the pound, it wasnt that scorching heat that made you feel like you were dying. It was just warm enough to heat up your skin and make you comfortable. And comfortable he was. Jayden had finally made it to central park without running into trouble. He did see the dog catchers though and just for the hell of it, laughed and said hello to them. The one that had managed to catch him looked him straight in the eyes and he seemed to recognize those blue hues, but he didnt say anything about it and just nodded his head in hello. When he was far enough away for them to not see or hear him, he laughed and shook his head. Humans amused him at times. They could see it right in front of their eyes, but never chose to believe it.
As he walked the trails he found a small shady area underneath a tree and laid down there in the soft green grass that was delicate and cool to the touch. He had one a white shirt and faded blue jeans. Normally he would have added his leather jacket, but New York was not London and the weather was much different here then it was there. If he had worn the jacket the warmth spreading through his system would be unbearable. He ran on hotter temperatures then normal humans did and of course so that meant the heat effected him differently then humans. He really didnt want to over heat while here. But the shade under the tree was nice and as his neck was placed on the cool grass, he sighed in contentment and pondered about taking a small nap here.
As he would have started to drift off to sleep he heard a couple talking with each other and because he heard the word, wolf, and large, in the same sentence he cracked open his left eye a tad so he could see them. They were standing by a tree a little off from where he was sitting and staring at a flier that had been stapled to the trunk at eye level. Sitting up, he wiped grass remains from his hair and clothes and then stood up and went over to the paper as the couple left. The paper read the headline, "Missing 'Dog'". Was that some kind of joke? The picture of the wolf on the flier wasnt exactly him, but he could tell that it was supposed to be. It was close enough that if anyone spotted him in wolf form they would recognize him as the 'dog' that this girl had lost.
He didnt even have to look at the contact information or call to know it was the girl who had saved him from the pound the other day. Her scent was all over the paper. And in fact, there were multiple papers of the sign all over the park. Everywhere his eyes touched there was a flier with the photo and the same exact story. "Crap..." He muttered under his breath and then ran his fingers through his hair. Looked like he needed to be extra careful now. Closing his eyes he let out another frustrated breath and then ripped the paper off the tree. One less flier wouldnt hurt. She had a ton up anyway. But the question was, why was she looking for him now? It had been two days! He thought he was safe and in the clear! Apparently not....
Walking away from the tree, he was headed back towards home when he smelt that scent again. It was fresh and new. Looking to the side where a bench was he spotted the girl. She looked smug and pleased with herself. Almost as if she were a cat catching a canary. He should have just kept walking, but his curiosity got the better of him and he went over to her smiling gently, his blue eyes shining. "Hello there. I see you are the one who put up all the fliers. Missing dog huh? I hate it when they run away." He stayed standing instead of sitting by her on the empty side of the bench. Sticking his hand out he smiled once more. "Im Jayden by the way. Sorry to interrupt you. You must be in panic mode about loosing your furry friend. I can help look if you wish. Shouldnt be too hard to find a big dog like that."

Emiko looked up at the sexy deep voice that came to her out of nowhere. No surprise, it was attached to a quite sexy body. She looked over him, starting from the feet and working her way up. When she got to his eyes she started violently, she recognized those eyes and unlike the man from the pound she knew enough to know that it was the same being. She couldn't speak for a minute, she'd known that the wolf probably had beautiful hair but she had never thought that the rest of him would be so....enticing.
Finally she registered his words and the fact that she should probably reply to them sometime soon. "Yes, the naughty little thing slipped out of my loft two nights ago. Somehow he managed to unlock and open the front door and leave during my nap. Isn't that something, what a smart dog huh?" She gave him a purposeful look, and her words were dripping with sarcasm. She would see how long it took him to tell her the truth, with her dropping hints like these left and right.
She stood, since he didn't seem to want to sit with her and she felt like she was being rude by staying seated. She returned the smile he gave her and took the hand he offered, shaking it a few times and then letting go.
"My name is Emiko, and don't worry you weren't interrupting anything. I appreciate the offer. I've just been so worried and lonely. The whole reason I went to the pound was to get someone to stay with me and keep me company. But then I saw him all lonely and sad in the corner of his cage and I just fell in love with him." She reached up and fingered a lock of his hair.
"You know, you remind me of him a little. You're hair is exactly the shade of his fur, and soft like it too. And your eyes!" She smiled and figured that she might as well flirt a little while she was at it. "Maybe I should just take you home and forget all about my dog. I'm sure you could keep me company much better." She winked and fought the urge to laugh and give away her game.

It amazed him at times how humans could see something and have it proven right in front of them but they denied it at every turn. Making up an excuse for why they had seen it and what had happened. A trick of the light, its hot out, Im tired, thats not possible, etc. And the brain may register it, but they wouldnt acknowledge it and so the brain would deny with them. One time, Jayden had accidentally changed in front of a woman before and when she looked at him, having come from wolf form to human, she just blinked and then turned and walked away, muttering that she had been seeing things and that when she looked back there wouldnt be a naked man standing there. To oblige the poor woman, he had raced away before she turned around. Might as well let her live in her little blissful world. Where everything was perfect.
So when the girl started so suddenly from looking at his eyes he had a moment of panic. Did she recognize him? Did she recognize his eyes that were so unique that they made him stand out like a sore thumb? No..couldnt be. It wasnt possible. She was human, definitely human and didnt know he was a werewolf. Didnt know he was the dog that she had lost. It took her only a few seconds to regain herself and her emotions flowed together to change to something much different then startlement. Almost playful now. That made him blink in surprise but it was a brief blink of his eyes and with that he snapped back into his confident and gentle self. He was very much intrigued by this girl. She seemed different in a way. Different from other females he had met. Both wolf and human.
Her next words were filled with such sarcasm that he could have joked on it. He had a feeling she was trying to hint at something but he wasnt going to raise to the bait. Instead, he laughed and shook his head. "I swear dogs keep getting smarter and smarter every time I ask people about their pets. People dont give them enough credit. Im sure this pup of yours was trained to do that. Or he was a street dog and learned some interesting tricks to get away." He added to the end of that sentence a gentle shrug and smiled at her once more, his blue hues never leaving her face, drinking in her scent and presence that just seemed to glow with a bright inner light. Most werewolves didnt even have that. He had only seen it from a few people. And most of them hadnt been human.
As she stood his eyes followed her. He couldnt help himself. His eyes trailed down and then back up her body, appreciating what he saw. Of course, he would never say that out loud. He was too much of a gentlemen to openly say he thought she was extremely good looking and that he wanted to pull her against him and kiss her. His eyes stayed on her lips for a few seconds too long and he forced himself to look back to her eyes. When she took his hand, he felt a small shiver of pleasure go down his spine. Her skin was soft and warm and he wouldnt mind that touch on his body. Snap out of it Jay!!! He yelled at himself and shook his head slightly. Listening to her words after she released his hand he tilted his head, more guilt shooting through him. She really was just lonely and wanted a companion.
When she reached out and brushed away a stray strand of his hair he blinked and looked at her in surprise. No one had openly reached out and touched him before. Most humans could sense something was foreign about him and didnt want to bother him. Even though he was very polite, they kept their touch away from him. Emiko was so bold. Emiko. It was a unique and beautiful name. Like her. He had to literally keep himself from nuzzling her hand and shivering. If he had been in wolf form, his tail would have been wagging. Two days ago he hadnt taken the time to appreciate her all that much. Now that he wasnt set on escaping he could. "They tend to do that. Dogs can capture our hearts easily. I love dogs." He said to her and gave a friendly smile.
"Im pleased to meet you Emiko. And do I now?" He asked her when she said he reminded her of the dog. How his hair was the exact same shade and then she complimented his eyes. At least..He thought it was a compliment. He couldnt quit tell at the moment. His heart was pounding. Her teasing and playful tone was making watch her much more carefully. Her last words made him chuckle softly and he closed his eyes, looking down bashfully before meeting her gaze once more. "My hair color is pretty common actually. And as for the eyes, they are quit over bearing dont you think? Im the only one with blue eyes in my family. Brown eyes run in the family. And as for the company...Im afraid I would probably disappoint you." He grinned at her, and then glanced over her shoulder, where he saw a small pond. The grin spread wider on his face as an evil idea came to mind.
"But...I came to offer my assistance on helping you find this doggy of yours. Any ideas where he might have run off to?" He asked her and then laughed softly. "But first...." He let his sentence trail off and before she could protest he picked her up, held her close and then ran over to the pond, jumping in with her in his arms, and resurfacing still holding her. He laughed again and shook his head, getting rid of the water in his hair like a dog would. It was his minor slip up. "Might as well cool off first." He finished and winked at her playfully.

Emi shook her head with a small smile at his explanation for how the 'dog' could have gotten out. Oh yes, dogs were quite smart when they were really people. "Well no wonder he got out and got taken in by the pound, if some dumb person taught him to open the door." She laughed at the thought, really who in the world would teach their dog that? She noticed the way that his eyes stayed glued to her and screamed in delight on the inside. It was always amazing when a guy as smokin as Jayden was gave you attention. And the attention that he was giving her made her feel like she was on the lunch menu and he was eager to get a taste. In other words, it felt amazing and it got her heart a-pounding. His eyes trailed along her body and she had to fight hard to keep from shivering from the heat of his gaze. And there was a lot of heat. She licked her lips unconsciously when they touched, having to do just like him and snap herself out of some very dirty thoughts. She wouldn't have minded one bit if he'd done everything that he was thinking about at that time. His comment about loving dogs made her smile, oh she just bet that he loved dogs. It was kinda hard to hate your cousins after all, especially when they happen to be cute and furry. Emiko rolled her eyes, angled towards the ground of course, when he tried to throw her off the track with his simple explanations. But she laughed outright in surprise when he claimed that his eyes were overbearing. She shook her head vigorously. "Overbearing is not a word I would use to describe eyes like yours. Gorgeous, beautiful, unique, sexy. Those are words I might use, but overbearing? No. Never." She smiled, blushing a little when she realized she'd called him sexy. Oh well, she'd said it, now she'd own it. She nearly fainted in surprise when he said that he'd probably disappoint her. Oh the poor boy had no confidence in his abilities, maybe someday she could convince him otherwise, but for now she'd have to just let it go. Not much she could do when they'd just met. She shrugged in response to his question, it was really hard to think of where the dog had gone when he was standing right in front of her. "You know, you like dogs so much, I think you'd probably know what this dog would do a little better than me." She smiled and then gasped when he grabbed her and held her close to him. At first she was quite happy with it but all of a sudden she found herself underwater and drenched to the bone. Emiko sputtered as she came out of the water and frantically blew water out of her nose. She caught his dog like move, shaking his head, and laughed. Then it was time to get even. His wink told her that he was read to play and she smiled enticingly before moving close to him. Her outfit was white and everyone knows what happens when white things get wet. Everyone except for Jayden apparently. She stopped right in front of him, her face inches away from his and quirked an eyebrow, her head cocked slightly to the side, her long wet hair surrounding her in thick ropes. "I can't believe you just did that to me, you naughty young man." She'd dipped her voice into the lower registers, making an already sultry voice into that of a husky sex kitten. "How are you going to make it up to me? Huh?"She asked, getting even closer to him and going up on her toes. She also slid her hands up his arms, over his shoulders, and rested them on his chest to keep herself stable.

Out of all his features he always got the most compliments for his eyes. Eyes so blue they seemed to glow. When his wolf was more in control then he was, they burned even more fiercely, looking like electric blue instead of any normal color that could be found on a human being. But even when the wolf wasnt in control, his eyes were what stood out. His hair was dark and silky sure, but his eyes drew people in. And it helped that he was kind. It made people stay longer. But no matter how many compliments he got, he always felt the eyes were a little much. And why in the world had he been born with blue eyes while the rest of his family had brown eyes or in shade of gold. Even his sister had brown eyes. And they were twins. It made no sense to him and at times he wished he had normal eyes. The brown eyes of his family.
However, when Emiko complimented his eyes, called them gorgeous and sexy, he could have purred with satisfaction. If she liked them, maybe they werent so bad after all. He could live with the blue eyes if she stared into them for the rest of eternity. But he shook his thoughts out of that direction and watched her blush at her words. It was cute and adorable and he wanted to kiss her cheek and feel that warmth on his lips. He wanted a lot of other things and his body was screaming in protest that he was holding back. It was almost to the point of physical pain. But his mother had raised him better then that. He respected people too much to let his inner instincts take hold. He respected Emiko too much to have his lustful thoughts jump her. And what in the world would she think of him?
Her response to his question though made him ponder. This was true. He was the dog. He was the one that loved them and should know about them. He should know where they would go if they had run off. Then again, since he was the dog in question, he couldnt exactly say he was standing right in front of her and that he was actually a werewolf. No...that wouldnt go down very well at all. "This is true. If I were a dog...I would want to find someplace safe or someplace I liked. Like a park or an alley way. Someplace I wouldnt be disturbed really. Thats peaceful. Ya know?" He said and gave a small shrug back to her own shrug before he played off his little trick of dunking them both in the pond. His laughter was still ringing out as she blew water out of her nose.
Being a dog, Jayden loved the water and loved to play in it. One of his favorite past time was to change and run around and play in a pool. It had been the fountain two days ago that got him in that trouble spiral in the first place. Ironic that he was splashing in water now. Slicking his hair back he glanced at her and then the laughter died in his throat quit quickly and his eyes filled with want and heat. He couldnt help it. She was walking towards him in that white outfit. White! Crap! He had forgotten all about what happens with white and water. He himself was wearing a white shirt. If his was see through, hers was almost non-existent. His gaze traveled the length of her body before he snapped out of it and forced his gaze back to her eyes.
Had Jay been in wolf form, his ears would have been perked straight up on his head and his tail wagging like crazy. But in human form, he just stood very still and watched her with his eyes filling with want and need. He wasnt a virgin, but he also wasnt a player. The amount of women he had slept with he could count on one hand. And that was spread out between the course of 653 years. He didnt get out much. And none of the others had the same effect and pull on him as Emiko did. Something was different about her and that something was keeping him hooked. He was like the mouse in the eyes of the snake. Knew he was in danger but was unable to look or pull away. Her voice was enough to make his mind wander to naughty nights, sweaty bodies, cool sheets and desires.
If he thought the voice was bad enough her touch on him ignited his skin and he felt his heart start to pound. He was holding himself back. She was teasing him. Making him see the errors of his way. Getting even. He was pretty sure it was nothing more then that. But her face so close to his was driving him crazy. He allowed himself to grin at her slowly, seductively and he trailed his fingertips down from the underside of her breasts to her sides and down to her hips. He didnt dare go any lower. For one, he didnt trust himself, two, he didnt want to be smacked. They had just met after all. It wasnt his fault he was feeling like this though. And he couldnt hold off forever. He had to give himself a little relief. So he leaned closer and placed his lips against her neck, sliding kisses down to her collar bone. He bit her skin gently, not enough to break skin, and then slid his tongue along the main vein in her neck.
And that was as far as he would allow himself. Pulling back he chuckled. "We are in a public place. Cant tease me that much deary. And I cant pay you back all that much either. So that will have to do." He released his hold on her and took a step back, taking her hand and kissing the top of it in a gentlemanly fashion and then helped her out of the pond. "Seeing as your outfit is a bit....revealing...Why dont we head to your place first and you can change and then we can hunt down this dog." And when he suggested they went back to her place, his mind was fully on the innocent. It hadnt even occurred to him that they could do far more naughty things behind closed doors.

His take on where the dog might go made sense, but then again, she would expect no less from him. It was quite simple really. He was keeping something from her, she knew it, it was only a matter of time before she got it out of him, or just snapped and admitted that she knew the truth.
The scene with the water played out and she saw in his eyes that her teasing was working. But perhaps it had worked a little too well? Boy could he give as good as he got. She had barely even started with her teasing when he went into action, his eyes growing molten sending shock waves of anticipation through her entire body. Eyes like that could easily drive a girl crazy. Eyes like that were eyes that you looked into once deeply, and never were the same again.
There was no going back now, barely known him for five minutes and already she was crushing on him majorly. It was hard not to like him when he was such a...hottie. Sex on a stick as she'd heard some people say. His seductive grin set her to panting lightly under her breath, though it didn't matter, she knew he would hear it. And even if he hadn't been able to hear it, they were close enough that her breath would hit him.
When his hands touched her, her eyelids fluttered closed veiling the extent of her desire beneath them and a sharp intake of breath was taken. His fingers left heat and goosebumps behind as they trailed over her. She felt like she was going to explode. Jayden was afraid for no reason, he could have done anything he wanted to her at that moment, anything at all, and she wouldn't have done a damn thing to stop it. In fact, she probably would have actively participated.
Perhaps teenage hormones were not the best thing to combine with see-through clothing. Her eyes opened wide when she felt his lips against her neck and she wrapped her arms around him with a pleased sigh and a whispered 'yes'. His kisses made her tremble and when he bit her she saw stars, god but she wanted him more than she'd ever wanted anything in her life. She was a virgin actually, and she had never met someone that made her want to have sex even after months of dating. They weren't dating, she'd known him for very little time, and yet she was ready to throw him down on the ground and have her merry way with him.
Danger, danger! Her brain was screaming it at her. This was a broken heart in the making.
But when he pulled away from her she longed to pull him back, instead she let her arms fall off of him and stood, shell-shocked in the water. His words made her want to laugh, want to but she couldn't seem to make the flirty sound come out of her throat. He looked down at her outfit and commented on how revealing it was and all she could do was nod.
Finally she regained her consciousness. "I think that was more than enough repayment. Though I wouldn't have been adverse to a little more." He released her from the circle of his arms and she longed to run back into them, he kissed the top of her hand and she ached for him to trail those lips to more interesting places. He helped her out of the pond and she noticed the tattoo on his arm.
Forgetting for the moment about their sexy play in the water, Emiko grabbed his arm and pulled it out straight.
"This is amazing." She said, trailing her fingers over the intricate designs. "I have one too, though I can't show you at the moment," She winked, "it would require me basically undressing." Tempting actually, but not in public. He was right, they were in the middle of central park, and any further play would have to be reserved for later. Though he had basically invited himself to her house.
"Alright smooth-talker, you've managed to charm your way into my house twice now and I'm going to tell you right now, that it's not going to work again! It's only working this time because I need to change, and it only worked last time cause I felt sorry for you." She didn't even realize that she'd given up the game, that she'd just admitted to him that she knew exactly who and what he was.
Emiko laced her fingers through his and pulled him through the park until they got to her car. She went pretty fast, trying to keep people from seeing how much they could see through her dress. They arrived at her car and she unlocked it. Once they were both in and buckled safely, she drove back to her home.
It wasn't long before the two of them were standing in her living room, an awkward silence stretching as she considered what to do.

Jayden wasnt a virgin. He knew what the basics were and a little more then just the basics to sex and everything else. One of the girls he had dated almost two centuries back had been very demanding and dominant. She had been in charge of everything. But in a way, he had to thank her. She had taught him what women like and what he couldnt do. Each woman was different, he knew that but his lessons hadnt let him down yet. As for how many times he had had sex so far in his long life, that would be four. And that was between two women. The first one had been when he was in his late twenties and the girl had sparked his interest. But he had been nothing but a toy to her. And so the sex meant nothing. His first time had meant nothing. He almost felt jipped and wanted a refund. But you couldnt take back virginity.
Her breathless little pants were enough to drive him crazy. It was the sign he had learned that meant he could continue and go further, go more. Her warm breath brushed against his face and even if he hadnt heard her panting breath, he could feel it. A small smile had formed on his lips and he was pleased that he had an effect on her and that it wasnt just one sided. That he wasnt the only one taking the desire hits. She was like a very tempting piece of chocolate that he wanted to just devour. But he knew better. And he wouldnt force himself on her. He would hate himself if he ever did that. Plus, his sense of smell could taste the innocence in her trembling, in her pants. And he couldnt smell what girls who werent a virgin had on them. Emiko was still a virgin. And he wouldnt take that from her.
Jayden may be old fashion and almost girly in his beliefs but it was the way he was raised and he wouldnt disappoint himself or his mother that way. She would be ashamed of him if he ever forced himself on a girl. Any girl. Didnt matter if he was dating her or not. It was the womans choice. And especially if they were virgins. It was a special thing for the first time, and he wanted her to pick. If Emiko chose him later down the road..then so be it. For now, he would keep to himself. And admire from a far. So then why was it so hard to pull away from her? But pull away he did and he almost laughed at the stunned expression on her face. She seemed shocked to the very being of her soul. And her voice no longer held that husk to it and her words made him smile. At least he had paid her back enough and it delighted him to see she hadnt wanted him to stop.
She took him by surprise though as she took his hand and then yanked his arm straight out. At first he wasnt sure what she was doing, but then he noticed her gaze was on the tattoo that he had on his arm and palm. His smile widened and he nodded. "It is. I got it a while back. Its not the only one I have. I have another tat on the back of my neck." He told her, but didnt show that one off. It was a wolfs paw with celtic designs in the paw mark. For now, she didnt need to see that. The one on his arm was hard to hide seeing as it took up the underside of his arm and spilled into his palm down the underside of his middle finger to the tip. He had gotten that tattoo when he was twenty. Tattoos were new around then and the ink wasnt always safe. He had been lucky to not get ink poisoning.
But he adored the tattoo and it pleased him to see she liked it as well. When she said she had one as well but to show him she would practically have to undress he quirked an eyebrow but didnt say a single word. One because he probably would have laughed and two, it was mighty tempting and he didnt want his voice to give away how tempting that idea was. Her next words though made his heart almost stop and he stiffened up. Two times into her house? And thats when it hit him. She knew. She must know. How else would she know he had been in her house once before this? But before he could answer, she laced her fingers with his and dragged him through the park in a rapid pace all the way to her car. It was the same little car he remembered and he chuckled under his breath as he sat down in the passenger side.
The drive didnt take very long and before he knew it, they were back inside her place standing in the middle of the living room he had seen once before. He glanced around, noticing more things now that he wasnt low to the ground. "Nice place." He said and tried to keep the charade that he was human. "And as for your comment before...I havent ever been here." He chuckled softly and then brushed his fingers through his hair. He had a small request for her but it was a bit awkward. "Well uh...I have a small request. Would you mind terribly if I took a shower? I was laying in the dirt and grass before I saw you. And the pond doesnt help with the grim. And if you have a dryer I would appreciate my clothes being dried. Its no fun to have wet clothes on. If you say no thats fine as well."

Emi was intrigued at the thought of his other tattoo. Her own was a source of personal pride, it was beautiful and it had been painful but the end result was more than worth it. She wondered what exactly the other tattoo was but fought the urge to take his shirt off of him and find out for herself. The drive was uneventful, though she listened to the radio instead of her bands music. She'd keep her secrets too. When they both got up in the apartment, she was unsure of what to do. Luckily he took care of that. Complimenting her on her place, she smiled. "Thank you, I appreciate the compliment. I do what I can with what I have." She chose to ignore his dodging of her early statements. If he wanted to keep up this pointless charade, when they both knew that she knew...well that was his choice. She wasn't sure why he felt so awkward about asking for a shower, it was a simple enough request. Something that she could easily supply him. She had a wonderful shower, it surrounded you on all sides with pulsating water. She loved it. "Not a problem, just go on in and take your clothes off, I'll come in there once it's safe and put your clothes in the dryer. I think I might have some pajama pants from my dad that he left last time he was here. So uh..go on in and get naked, give me a holler when it's safe." She headed up to her own bedroom to change into something else. She looked in her closet and picked out a top and a skirt, deciding that it would probably be safer to actually put on underwear this time. If they left the building she would put on her flip flops but a large part of her hoped that they wouldn't get around to going anywhere any time soon. Once she reached the bottom of the stairs she walked over to stand in front of the bathroom door. The shower was running and she could hear the water being interrupted before it hit the floor so clearly he was in there. She hesitated, knowing that walking in there was going to severely test her resistance. Finally, she lifted her hand and knocked twice. "I'm coming in!" She called out before opening the door and letting herself in. The clothes were crumpled on the floor and she stooped down to gather them up, leaving her dad's old pajama pants on the toilet, neatly folded. When she straightened again, she saw a flash of skin through the nearly see-through but glazed over walls of the shower stall and forced herself to get out of there fast. She put his clothes into the dryer with her own and then returned to her living room to sit on the couch. The book she'd been reading was sitting on the table so she leaned forward and picked it up. Though she would set it down when he came out of the bathroom.

Now that he had the time to look at the apartment and not actually plot his escape he noticed different things that he hadnt two days prior. But that was only to be expected. For one thing, he had been a wolf and hadnt been able to really see things that were above his head unless he looked up. And he didnt look up often. Not unless he felt threatened. And in here, he didnt feel threatened. He felt relaxed and at ease. The white was very calming and he smiled briefly, before pushing it away. He remembered her shedding comment and wondered if she wouldnt mind him laying on the couch now. She probably wouldnt. But he didnt think he wanted to find out. He was getting a little uncomfortable in these wet clothes and he hoped she would say yes to his request. It was a simple one really..but some people saw it as a big thing.
He had asked a friend once if he could shower at his place and he had flipped out saying that the shower was a personal space. And that had been a guy friend. So now he always asked. Not at home of course, but when he was with friends. And seeing as Emiko was a girl he didnt want to intrude on the bathroom place if she didnt approve. He could deal with wet clothes and being a bit smelly. He had been in worse situations. Much worse situations. Thankfully though, she said that it was fine. She didnt seem to really have a problem with it either. Her words were logical and didnt stutter and he smiled, nodding and pointing towards the direction he assumed the bathroom was. "Im going to assume thats the bathroom? If im about to walk into a closet, tell me so." He teased gently and went inside the bathroom.
Closing the door behind him he glanced at his reflection in the mirror and sighed softly before starting to strip down. He only had on the tee shirt and jeans. No underwear. He never wore underwear. He didnt really see the point when he was changing into wolf form all the time. They would be shredded anyway. And it slowed down his undress time if he had the underwear on top of the jeans and the shirt. He didnt bother folding the clothes and just pushed them into a pile and then looked over at the shower. Turning the water on, he tested the temperature with his hand first and when he was satisfied with the heat of the water, he stepped inside the shower and closed the glazed over glass door that was hiding him from peering eyes.
The steaming water felt amazing down his back and front. He tilted his head back and got his hair wet and then shook his head like the pup he was to get water out of his face. Looking around he grabbed the soap and started to wash his body, getting the dirt and grime off. He didnt enjoy being dirty really. He took a shower at least once a day. It helped him feel clean and tidy. Without really realizing what he was doing, he started to hum under his breath. He probably would have started to sing had he not heard her knock and then the door open. He paused only slightly to glance out the window and smirked and then went back to cleaning. She may have been tempted but he didnt think she would actually join him. And turned out, he was correct as she sprinted out of there like someone had lit a fire under her butt.
Once he was alone again, he started to sing under his breath softly. His wolf family was music inclined. They all knew some sort of musical thing. His mother played the piano and sang. She had taught him how to play piano and he had taught himself how to play guitar. Now singing wasnt something you could teach but he had inherited his mothers singing voice. It was gorgeous and pure and wonderful. But he hated singing in front of people. He thought he was horrible and so only sung when he was in his own comfort of being alone. Lots of times that was in the shower. So yes, he was a person who sings in the shower. But whats wrong with that honestly? Finishing up with his hair he rinsed it out and then turned the water off, shaking his head, flinging water against the wall and door of the shower.
Stepping out, he grabbed a towel and dried his face off first, glancing at the fogged up mirror. But he knew what he would see if he could. He was tall, six feet even, with dark hair that was somewhat shaggy and fluffy. His eyes were a startling blue and his body was well tones. His abs were a six pack and his biceps enough to show he wasnt weak at all. He dried off quickly and then noticed the pair of pajama pants that she had said she might have. He smiled and placed the towel down on the counter, folded of course, and pulled on the pants. Her father must be a tall man because the pants fit him perfectly. He would have to thank her once he went out. Which would be at that moment. Because after a final check around the bathroom he shrugged and then went back out into the living room.
He spotted her on the couch and he smiled. She was reading a book and he walked over to the couch, wondering what she was reading. But he sat down in one of the chair that was next to the couch. "Thank you for letting me use the shower. I needed that. So what ya readin?" He asked her and then smiled. "Oh..and if you want to see the other tattoo, its on the back of my neck." He had noticed the curious gleam in her eyes from earlier when he mentioned he had another.
