Erica was visiting the gardens, something she did quite often. This garden had a pretty little river going through it. Greece was such a nice place. This garden was the National Garden. She admired the trees and quiet sound of water lapping at the edges. She was quite interested in the Koi fish. They had such pretty colors to them. It was dark out but she could see them clearly in the pretty pond. This park was designed by the first queen of Greece, she had learned. Erica never failed to be amused with such things. This garden was huge and held several different types of plants to admire and enjoy. The animals were quite beautiful as well and she couldn't help but favor the peacocks. Technically Erica shouldn't be here but she didn't follow the rules. She found it to be even more enjoyable at night. The animals were settling down and it was free of people. Not to mention the sun wasn't out to burn her to death. Yes, it was quite enjoyable at night.
Alone, she sat with a canvas before her. Even the vampire couldn't paint a picture that would show how pretty this place was. It was beyond words. For a moment, she wished she could see it during the day. That would be impossible, though. Too bad for her. So many lucky humans. They could walk around during the day to their hearts content. The sun wouldn't slaughter them like it would her. That was fine, though. Erica could see what she wanted to in the dark. What she was trying to capture on her canvas was the sight of many turtles climbing over each other on a tiny island in the middle of a pond. There had to be at least fifty turtles there, though none of them were bigger than a football. These creatures had to be quite old. Perhaps as old as herself. She admired them for living such a long life. They seemed so content, too.
The garden was such a magical place. Somewhere a person could sit and relax and watch the thousands of ducks that roamed around. It was beautiful. The flowers here were beautiful and Erica was a rose among them. She felt so at home here, not like when she was in the states. Even as a man she enjoyed the sight of such a beautiful place. She was satisfied, though alone here. Lonely was not a feeling she enjoyed very much. She wanted to have company, someone to play with, perhaps. Her sire hadn't come around in a few years, though. That man. How she hated him, but at the same time she loved him. He killed her mother but he was so gentle and caring towards her. He made sure she had everything she needed and told her how to survive as a vampire. She was grateful that he didn't end her life. Well, technically he had. But not like her mother.
She was wearing a little black dress today. It was simple and sexy, showing off a bit of her long legs and low cut, though she had no breasts to show off. She wore black high heels that made her a little bit taller than she already was. She was quite a bit taller than most women, standing at six feet tall. She had a slender body, though, quite feminine for a man. Honestly, she was a beautiful woman. She liked to say she had the power to turn a gay man straight and straight man gay. As far as anyone else knew, she could. Had she tried? Perhaps. Not all of her friends had known she was a boy. A lot of the guys developed little crushes on her. It was quite cute, really. She was flattered. Too bad she wasn't very interested in them. She could have so much fun with a pretty boy. Erica was lost in her thoughts as she began to draw out what she was seeing on the pond. Such innocent turtles.

A scoffed breathed passed by pink lips, bare with the exception of a shiny gloss, as her slender arm rose so that she could sweep back her long, dark hair behind her shoulders. Covering up the side of her neck with the same slender and perfectly manicured hand, blue eyes, which were slightly warmer than their usual icy cold appearance, narrowed at the beast in front of her that dare called himself a superior man. One would think that a mortal female, like herself, would run away at the site of his smile with blood-stained fangs, not a single one of them dull. His widow's peak and too-pale skin only added to his Count Dracula look, but Halloween was too far away for this man to be playing dress up.
No, he was a real vampire, and she was definitely only a human, although the former immortal would love to argue otherwise. Beneath her blue dress and round, firm breasts, there was definitely a heart there, and that heart had a necessary beat to it. Living off of blood was no longer an option as her new, mortal body demanded different nutrients from other sources of food. Her strength had reduced drastically, and now fighting off ill-mannered, hormonal humans was beginning to become a struggle, let alone fighting off the strength of a vampire. She wouldn't be able to outrun anything in this form, especially in these heels, anymore.
But as far as the woman in the blue dress was concerned, she was far from being human. She was mortal, weak, and less graceful than the beautiful hunter once was, but she refused to associate herself with such a disgusting race.
Eyes still narrowed, she spoke with a British accented voice so stern and unshaken, not even close to being as afraid of the fanged man as she knew he expected her to be. "I know how delicious my blood is. I'm a damn gourmet meal." If she had fangs, they'd be bared at him right now, instead of these dull teeth, in a scowl so vicious at the site of his slimy tongue running across his thin lips still tainted with a slight red from his earlier meal, which she could only assume wasn't too long ago if she, with human senses, could smell the blood from her stance about a yard away. "Oh, show some class, fledgling. You're behaving more like a dog than a vampire."
Her words wouldn't register at all through this beasts head, and he was nothing more than a mere beast. Glossed, brown eyes stared wide at the human female before him, but they weren't looking at her, currently. She didn't need a mind reader to know the thoughts twisting around in his tiny little head, which more than likely consisted of images of her screaming for help unsuccessfully as his dirty fangs buried into her neck. He was far too focused on a hopeful future that would satisfy this craving, which has become his addiction, for the crimson liquid he could already envision her choking on. It didn't really matter what words came out of her mortal mouth, right now. He would try to strike at her any second, now.
With as much quickness as a human can have, but still calm, her hand dropped from her neck as she reached for the purse on her opposite arm. Pesky little annoying things, purses, but she had recently found a very useful purpose for them. Her hand began rummaging through the various items, most of which a normal human wouldn't carry on them, and all while those crystal blues remained observant on the beast, focusing on any twitch, tenseness, or movement that would signal his attack. "Here's a little lesson for you, newborn..."
His slightly curled fingers with uncut, rigid nails twitched slightly. So predictable, these freshly bitten vampires were, and so inexperienced, which was lucky on her part. She moved to the side at the same time he lunged for her, teeth bared and nails ready to anchor herself to him. He really should've been paying more attention to his little prey. Maybe then he would've noticed the words she spoke, her tone, and her entire appearance all together.
She was no human, despite the incessant beating in her chest and constant need for breath. Walking in the sun may not be a problem for her, and unlike other vampires that have frigid bodies, her temperature has remained at about ninety-eight degrees. But she is not a mere human. She was born a vampire. Evelyn O'dell would always be a vampire.
She lost about a fraction of a second with her lack of grace, but the shock from not catching is prey also caused the fledgling to pause for a moment in utter confusion. She didn't waste any slow moments as her hand pulled away from her purse, clutching on to a decent sized, cylinder object. Heels clacked closer, causing the vampire to turn around swiftly. "Never underestimate.... and never smoke." Her and shot out, shoving one end of her little object inside of the vampire's mouth. Normal humans carry around a tiny lighter to flame up their disgusting cigarettes with, but Evelyn found this nifty little lighter, instead, which the salesman tried to explain as something that was used for a grill. She's had no experiences with grills, but the flame on this baby was much better than the other stupid lighters.
"It's bad for your health."
And then she pressed the little button, and couldn't help but smile, despite the disgusting smell of burnt dead flesh, at the beautiful display of a burning head right before her eyes. His head caught fire pretty quick, even for a vampire. She observed his headless body and the flame that began to engulf it as it dropped to the ground. How interesting, the scene before her was a lot similar to the one she had back at the hotel, when she practiced playing with her new toy on a piece of paper.
Was her blood really that tempting to taste? She had only been in Greece for a single night, and this was the second vampire to have been burnt by her hand. And fortunately for her, these had been newborns who had little knowledge of what they were doing. Evelyn couldn't even bring herself to think of what would happen if she ran into a more experienced predator. Maybe leaving London wasn't a very safe idea.
But as a human, especially a delicious one, where exactly could be considered safe, anymore? In London she knew a few vampires, whereas in Greece she knew of none, but despite that, if anyone of them knew of her current condition, Evelyn couldn't be too sure of their actions. So, she had a choice. To either be eaten by a close companion, one of which she could only imagine would have too much fun to see her scream and squirm, and the other companion was dangerously close to being admittedly loved. Or, she could risk having an unknown vampire attack her as she fled London for a while to think things through.
Well, who would enjoy being slaughtered by someone they were close to? Evelyn would take her chances with the strangers.
She couldn't see the beauty in Greece, not to it's full extent, anyways. Putting her little fire toy away, she continued to walk, and Evelyn found herself wandering into a nearby garden, despite the fact that the sign clearly read that it was closed to the public, but that's why she decided to go in, anyways. No one here to bother her.
She was sure that the flowers and greenery were probably stunning beneath the sheet of darkness that laid over them. As a vampire, the colors would've been so vibrant and easier to see, but her beloved night and all of its beauty was hidden from these damn mortal eyes. If it wasn't for the feint sounds of movement, she wouldn't have noticed that there was a river with other creatures in it. Well, as long as those other creatures didn't find her blood too appetizing, she was okay with them being there.

Easy, delicate, that's how she worked. She couldn't miss one thing, though it was hard to create something when the subjects were moving. The turtles never stopped, their shells making a soft noise as they fell upon each other. She found it cute when one landed on it's back and had a bit of a problem getting up from that position. Erica was so glad she didn't have that problem. It seemed everyone had a weak point, though there was something strong in them as well. The turtles were helpless on their backs but they had that hard shell to protect the fleshy insides that would be so easy for a predator to dig it's pretty fangs into. Erica knew humans had several weaknesses and she wasn't sure what their strengths were. Perhaps their ability to form together in groups. As a group, they were more powerful. Not much, but still more powerful than one human on it's own.
As a vampire, she couldn't walk out in the sunlight without dying. But at night she was one hell of a hunter. She was strong, fast and had an ability that most humans would die for. A lot of vampires did. Erica had been around a long time and had met many vampires along the way. Some of them were kind, some of them were not. All of them were people you wouldn't want to be enemies with. Erica wasn't one of those that was angered easily, though. Mess with her friends and she would be sure to take you out, but otherwise she was pretty calm. She enjoyed sex more than fighting and she wasn't afraid to admit it. It was something a lot of people craved and you could say that she was addicted, that might be correct. Who knew. Men, women, she wanted them. As long as they were cute they were good enough for her.
She was so into what she was doing she hardly noticed the pretty peacocks moving around her. She was pretty among them. Gorgeous, really. She fit in quite well with these males. There were peahens, too. Not as pretty as their male partners, though. But that's how it was with birds. Males were a lot prettier than the females. It had everything to do with attracting the female as a mate. the male had to be pretty to attract her, right? The females were dull colors while males had brighter colors. As for the peacocks, they had the large tail feathers and the females didn't. The male paraded that pretty tail around and showed it off like there was nothing prettier. Erica couldn't really think of a prettier bird. Though, a harpy eagle was a beautiful creature to behold if you were to ever see one.
People were not like birds, though. Some were beautiful, some were not. Some were born beautiful and some had to work for that beauty. Some were skinny, some were fat. There were so many different ways a human could look, it was astounding. Twins were a wonder to Erica. How they could look alike, she would never know. Well, she knew why but the fact that something like that could actually happen was quite interesting. She wanted a twin. Someone as beautiful as her. Sadly, Erica had been born male. She was a boy all over but she could make herself look like a girl. Even as a boy, though, she was quite hansome. Which was something to say considering that she still made a gorgeous female.
Looking at Erica you wouldn't really notice that she was a male. you would have to actually have her naked to notice. She had a feminine body, though she was flat chested. Some girls were, though, so that could be normal. Erica knew she could have pretty breasts if she wanted to but she wasn't going to waste her time. Sometimes she enjoyed being a male and seducing pretty boys and girls in that form. It was a lot easier to get women that way, for sure. A lot of women were attracted to the gorgeous male and couldn't resist him. Not to mention the pretty little ideas he could put into their head. So, she wouldn't change her body in any way. For that reason, and the fact that she was afraid of getting an actual sex change. The things she would have to go through just to get a pussy. No, that was not for her.
The koi fish in this pond made her think of the ones at her home. She had her own little koi pond inside her house. She could afford such things after being alive as long as she had been. Koi fish were not cheap, obviously. She didn't mind, though, she really enjoyed the fish. They were so different, yet the same depending on which kind they were. Erica had an eye for beauty, to be sure. Her home was beautiful. She had a garden of her own and several gorgeous animals to live with her. Chinchillas were something she couldn't live without. Their fur was desired, wanted. People could make a fine fur coat out of the little creatures but this wasn't why Erica loved them. She liked to feel the small twich of their noses, the gentle beat of their heart.
Yes, an animal lover. Erica loved animals and they were all just pets. She didn't use them for blood unless she absolutely had to. But she rarely did. Humans were all over the place and willing to come to her when she needed them. Blood was a necessity and she had plenty of it. Many humans wandered this earth and the majority of them could not resist the beauty and wonder of a vampire. Of course, they didn't know that these people were vampires. They just knew they were attractive. Danger didn't float through their mind when they lay there unknowing eyes on the pretty woman. It was desire they felt when they were around her, not fear. It was a need that only she could satisfy and even then, it was not enough. They wanted everything this woman could offer and that's all she asked in return. Everything they could offer. Unfortunatly, they didn't know that meant their life.
Speaking of those silly humans. Erica felt something coming closer. Inside the garden, to be sure. Where at? Close by. Interesting. This place was closed to the public. Was it a vampire? That wasn't the vibe she was getting from this person. Human, surely. But how were they in here? It wasn't time to leave yet, that she knew. Darkness had only just fallen. Perhaps they were lost and didn't know the place was closed at this time of night. Who better to tell them than little Erica herself? Besides, maybe she could get a little fun out of it. The thought of blood was tempting, though sex was even moreso. That wasn't what she was looking for at the moment, though. She wanted peace and quiet to finish her art.
So, she stood from her spot, leaving the canvas behind. The animals were not very interested after looking for a moment and went on about their own business. She made her way through the garden until she came upon what she was looking for. A young woman. A pretty thing, too. Erica was not shy, obviously. She made her way over without a second thought and made it known that she was there. "Hello," she said simply, bowing her head a bit. Erica could already feel the need for this womans blood come forth. She had a bit of self-control but if things got out of hand she didn't know how well she could keep herself from tearing this fragile woman apart. She never got over the thrill of killing and pulling out the intestines of her prey. Who could resist such a lovely feeling? If she could teach people to enjoy that she would have her own little army of killers behind her. Though jealousy would be a bit issue.

She took in a sharp breath through clenched teeth as blue eyes narrowed below her, angry at the site of a pierced finger and the incredibly annoying feeling that pulsed from the tip of the extremity. What an incredibly weak finger, able to be scathe so easily from a simple thorn, not to mention that these mortals and their extremely sensitive nerves caused much more of a reaction than needed. It was just a simple piercing, not worth shedding another one of those silly tears over, but it did hurt. The pain from this tiny, pulsating wound hurt a little more than she originally expected it would. How ... annoying ... and frustrating to deal with.
Dying was never as a scary or hard as these humans portray the process to be. Becoming one of the dead is much more simple than these mortals think. All they have to do is lay there and let go of everything around them. Detach yourself from movement, feeling, emotions, thoughts... and so on. Evelyn had been so spoiled with her undead life, already born detached from this over exaggerating body. Death is easy, so easy. It's this living part that is so damn hard to cope with. If humans thought that dying was a tough process, they ought to try coming back to life.
And there she goes with her whining, complaining thoughts again, another attribute that Evelyn connected to being human. One tiny cut, and she somehow wandered her thoughts off to life and death and wishing she could be undead again... because of a damn thorn, as though pain was completely foreign to her, which it wasn't foreign, just different from before. But like some child screaming and racing for it's mother over a paper cut, she let herself worry more than necessary over the tiny little wound. What a weak, foolish child ...
"Hello."
Too quickly, her head turned, her body already tensing up defensively. Paranoia had become a necessary habit for the new human, especially since she never bothered to quit her other habits of walking around the cities past midnight and curiously wandering around in unsafe areas. She may have been extremely limited and defenseless as a human, but she was still Evelyn either way, and cowarding behind walls after the sun disappeared from the sky was not something that she could find herself doing so easily, like these other humans. No, despite being disowned from the night that had once welcomed and comforted it's beautiful vampire, she would not keep herself hidden away from the darkness she was born in.
With cautioned eyes, she studied this woman who approached her. She was too beautiful to be a human, and that was the first thing Evelyn noticed about her. Rather tall for a woman as well, but she was stunning.. so stunning. Pale with such smooth, feminine features and hair that seem too perfect with not a single gold strand falling out of place. Some areas were a little too small for a woman, but this wouldn't be the first time Evelyn has seen a girlish figure with no curves on a female. It almost made her feel sick, though, the perfect features of this woman, and how her body, still appearingly beautiful for a human, but so frail and weak that it was disgusting.
Jealousy was never an emotion that the former vampire had experienced before. As others saw her walking down the street, it was they who were so envious of the stunning brunette and the perfection that seem to radiate from every pore in her dead body. As a human she could see the reason for their jealousy so clearly, now. Of course, vampires were always known to have striking beauty, but the view she had of this vampire as a human was definitely different than if Evelyn were to run into her as another vampire. Her flawless, pale skin practically glowed as though she was an angel; an illuminating light in the darkness, which was kind of ironically funny, once she thought about it.
Now that she thought about it... if she assumed wrong, and this woman wasn't a vampire, Evelyn was going to have some issues with her being alive.
"Good Evening" She replied, with a slight, soft monotone that still held her initial shock of someone else sharing her space. Crystal blue eyes, still cautious with her slight paranoia, began to hint their curiosity as her head tilted ever so slightly, still gazing at the woman ... almost studying her. The first thing she had to do was find out if there was any reason for her to reach inside her purse and pull out that lighter for the third time, tonight. "Such a nice night for a stroll, although I am a little shocked to see someone else out here at such a late hour."

The smell of blood filled the air and she couldn't help but smile. Ah, that self-control was slipping, wasn't it? She could barely contain that excitement that was already filling her. She was even growing hard from the smell of it. Ah, well, fancy that. Yes, her fragile human body was easily cut and bruised, whereas pretty Erica wasn't hurt half as easy. It would take a lot to cut through her pretty flesh and even more to actually cause her pain. How fragile humans were and Erica loved it. Though it would be much more interesting to cut open a vampire. Surely they were different than humans. Only one way to find out, that was for sure. To pin them to her pretty bed and do every little dirty thing she could think of to them. Such fun it would be, yes?
Erica quite enjoyed being a vampire, a living dead. An immortal. What was to hate about her life? She could do whatever she wanted whenever she wanted. If there was a problem with people, death was easy to deliver. Not that you could really get into much trouble with others at night, seeing as humans were not nocturnal and vampires were. Well, they had to be. But that didn't stop police men and such from wondering. Besides, who wouldn't stop a pretty woman like Erica if they saw her walking the streets? You wouldn't know that she was your worst nightmare. Men just saw her as something they could have a bit of fun with. Oh yes, and what fun they would have with her. Probably not something they thought of as fun, but fun nonetheless.
The quick turning of this human didn't even make her flinch. Why fear something so weak? She seemed a bit defensive and Erica couldn't help but giggle a bit at her. "I'm not going to hurt you," she said. A lie, perhaps, but she couldn't help but try and calm the woman. What was a human doing out this late at night anyway? The question floated about in Erica's mind but she brushed it aside. The woman smelled strongly of human, there was no way she was a vampire. Still, why would she be out and about? Then again, some people worked nights and others just happened to be quite the night walkers. Ah well, more fun for Erica. She didn't mind sharing the darkness with others.
Yes, this human held a bit of beauty herself. Erica could see that before she had gotten so close. But now, next to her, she could see that beauty even more. How precious some people were. She couldn't help but feel a bit fidgety around Evelyn. She could still smell the blood and was having a hard time keeping herself from jumping on her. It had nothing to do with controlling the thirst for blood, Erica had long since gained a control over that. It was the fact that she wanted to tear the woman apart. That feeling was almost never under her control. She was stronger than she looked, though, she could hold back that disgusting feeling. After all, cutting people up was hardly lady like.
Mmm, how she enjoyed watching this woman look her over. How beautiful she must have appeared to her. Was she jealous? How Erica hoped she was. Nearly everything about her could put jealousy in the heart of humans. Vampires, not so much. They were all gorgeous creatures as far as she knew. The moonlight lit up her pretty body and only made everything about her seem so much better. She put one hand on her hip as she watched this woman, looking her up and down. She then let her pretty blue-green eyes move over the rest of the scene. She chewed gently against her colored lip, a habit she had from when she was a human but couldn't get rid of after the change. There were some things that she did when she was human that she still did today. Such as chewing on her lip, dancing in public...loving children.
Ah, and did that not still make her slightly human? To have feeling towards a child? To want to keep them from harm. She would do a damn thing to a child, who could harm such a young soul? Anyone who could harm a baby was a cruel person indeed. Even this cold-blooded killer couldn't bring herself to take the life of something so innocent. She would even go out of her way to save one if she saw it was in danger. She couldn't help but protect them. Perhaps it was because she wanted a child but could never give birth to one. How could women live without the ability to have a child? Well, really, Erica could have a child, she just couldn't birth it herself. She would have to get another person pregnant. Fuck not being able to do it herself. What was the point in having a child if she couldn't birth it?
Ah, well. Being a vampire didn't really help the child matter either. Still, Erica wished she could have had a child when she was human. She didn't let the thought bother her, though. She could live her life without a little thing following her around. She was pulled out of her thoughts as the little human responded to her greeting. She could see her watching her and wondered what it was this human was thinking. Erica watched every little movement Evelyn made. She wouldn't miss a thing. "So it would seem. I'm quite interested in taking night walks," she giggled softly, almost seeming innocent. She pulled it off quite well. Many years of practice could give a woman that talent. "You like the garden?" she asked, looking around once more and smiling so sweetly. Of course, it would be hard for a human to find the real beauty of the garden at night. Erica was assuming Evelyn had been here during the day.
